A CARE package for Rocky;

Gleanings from a few chapters on Zen swordmanship and poetry.

Di-electric Sword

        While carving the sunset;
        the cord trails behind.
        Ah! Sunrise! [over the Savanna River]

Unless of course you are de-cordless-electric knife which the MoQ would be,
without an infusion of Zen, on this month's issue of "simultaneousness SO/DO"

Having just finished D.Suzuki's, "Zen and Japanese Culture", originally
published in 1938 and extensively rewritten in 1956, leads me to think that
ZMM, Lila, and "Zen and Japanese Culture" are a very similar projects.

Suzuki, like Pirsig, was trying to translate the essence of Zen into a
sensibility for the Western mind. Both grant Western philosophy the edge in
the dielectric slicing but maintain in the end;

the "...one central perception of the truth of Zen [and the MoQ], which is
"the One in the Many and the Many in the One," or better, "the One remaining
as one in the Many individually and collectively." D. Suzuki p 28

So "the whole thing" in life is to cultivate a way or path in which "the One
remaining as one in the Many individually and collectively." Pirsig poses that
this "Oneness", or reality, is a simultaneous balance of static and Dynamic
Quality.

Makes satori to me?

ROCKY-

DAVE

Sorry, I'm moving rocks in my Zen garden with mine. But you can build one from
an old auto drive shaft by forging point on the spline end.

DISREGUARD DIANA'S INSTRUCTIONS SHE HAS THE ORDER ALL WRONG! in addition to
having some of the points badly misstated:

1. Do 5 first.[Full report to LS]

2. Followed the same evening by 4.[Bonfire of the Vanities]

3. The next morning, quit your job and build a Zen trout pond in the backyard.
Don't get a license! Just [Nike] do it!

4. File a Federal lawsuit claiming "an inalienable right to watch trout."
