Umm... How about... Pirsig described NYC the most Dynamic place on Earth
(LILA ch17 p252). David, apparently intrigued, decided to come and
investigate for himself and inquired about where he might find some "fun" in
NYC. As Pirsig tells us, Dynamic Quality is pure fun (LILA ch11 p 171). So
if you read between the lines, David was asking about how he might get
closer to DQ via his upcoming New York experience... and that's not really
any less relevant to Pirsig than any other thread about experiencing DQ, is
it?
How's that for a save?

The firing squad got too expensive so we don't shoot newbies anymore, we've
decided instead to kick it old-school and use a rack ;-) But seriously,
those are all great suggestions for places to see in the city, that's the
thing about NY, you can spend an active lifetime here and still not see
everything (trust me on this one).

I actually had a WTC view from my previous apartment (and yes, I saw them go
down with my own eyes). Now I've moved and I have a view of the Statue of
Liberty (statue of DQ?) and the river... it's an inspiring sight to wake-up
to everyday.
