LS Number of angels/societies on needle points

Dear Friends and Quality seekers.
The LS was my first encounter with so-called mailing lists. and I guess
my
hope of it being about applying Pirsig' idea to various fields was in
vain:
this is about applying the various member's own ideas on the MOQ. OK, it
can't be helped, this goes for all system builders.

First it was Doug with his sub Inorganic and super Intellectual
"exercises", then Magnus hit with his Organic vs Social antics. I am
just
waiting for someone starting about where life borders on matter and
Intellect vs Society. I said so in my opening letter: there is no
"objective" point in time or space where you find a sign "You are now
leaving the Biology Sector." Seen from within, each domain stretches
from
eternity to eternity.

Of late messages have been flying about what levels are "aware" of what
above and below. As if "Static Value Patterns" are objective entities
with
a subject/object consciousness of their own. The Medieval scholastic
conciles
on how many angels could sit on needle points comes to mind. Perhaps my
long admonishing "epistles" has been part of it. Anyway, nobody wants a
"chairman" (ZMM!) on this board.

At times I have the urge to ask this question (I don't this is just a
draft): If you once found the MOQ valuable and credible, it must have
been
for it being a solution of the Subject/Object paradoxes. Why then the
efforts to plunge it back into the very ugliness? Why pondering over
what
this and that "really" is? Objectivity is left behind along with
subjectivity (awareness consciousness and mind).

Keep up the debate, but read a little of Pirsig in between and try to
find
documentation for or against what you say. It would raise the quality.
And
Anders, I like your "footnote" quip, but it adds to the hardship of
reading. Please. :-)

Cheers, Bodvar.

PS. This moment a yellow leaf floated past my window. Ugh!

PPS. Magnus, I am working on an answer to your well formulated dilemma.
