I've finally finished the booklet I've been working on. It's part of
my ongoing project to put
MoQ in the schools, both as a philosophy and as an agent of good
reform. Be warned, it doesn't
shout "eductional theory" or "philosophy", because that wouldn't get
anywhere. It's not about
talking, but about doing. And the Lila Squad had a lot to do with the
refinement of the concepts.
Thank you.

I believe strongly, as Pirsig said, [how did he say it? ] that the most
moral activity of all is
to make space for the business of life to go on. And in the midst of
the stresses of state-wide
school reform, space for the business of good life is a precious
commodity.

Anyway, here's the scoop:

Service Projects with Technology
A Scrapbook of Projects, Activities, and Tips from Teachers.

64 pages.

Service. Technology. Working in groups. Application of academic
knowledge. Together, these
concepts gather a dynamic energy that is far more powerful than when
approached separately. 222
Kentucky expert teachers were surveyed to find out what makes
high-quality, student-motivated
projects tick. Over forty gave detailed, enthusiastic, replies. Their
insight is shared, along
with wisdom from across the ages, and a commonsense plan to make it all
work.

Service Projects with Technology is part of The Technology Connection,
listed in the 1996-1998
Kentucky Department of Education Directory of Approved Training
Programs--Effective Instructional
Leadership and Professional Development Programs, Audrey T. Carr,
director, Division of
Professional Development.

And one of the next things I have to do is get this all out of my own
name, and list it as a
publishing company, even if there are only three titles. Suggestions
for a name?

Maggie
