I just re-read the last two chapters of Zen and the Art this week (because we were
talking about them) and that book still takes my breath away.

And it's funny that it never occurred to me to wish for another book. I almost
didn't read Lila because I liked its predecessor too much to ruin it by reading a
"sequel".

But ever since I read your PS, above, the thought has nagged at me. I realize
that I really want to read another novel, too. While I'm not getting tired of
talking about MoQ, there's nothing that compares to the direct experience that
Pirsig put in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

Now that Pirsig's said what he wants to say, and has to wait for the world to come
around to understanding it, maybe he could find freedom to put that incredible
talent to use and let it seek its own path.

Maggie
