if you look at who pirsig points to as an example of living from the
center of Quality,Value,Morality it is the indian. in LILA, persig and a
companion are walking with this indian and the companion asks the indian
what kind of dog it is the indian responds yhat it is a good dog. why
was this a good dog? because it was well trained ? is that what the
indian meant by good?

no. good from the indian's viewpiont meant the dog was being what it
was: a dog. another example is the often repeated phrase "it is a good
day to die" why not the right day or the best day? because any day is a
good day because it is being what it is: a day.

the indian is being moral because he sees the universe as nothing other
then what it is.
