Succinctly, Dynamic Quality is progressive change, whatever that may be.

Be careful Troy or you will work yourself around to my position.
If we regard Quality (or Dynamic Quality) as being responsible for the
organization of the early universe (watch me here Jonathan), and we begin
with the organization of the early universe, we can make a logical
construct for the evolution of the universe up to, and including, the
present. We can see the reason that the molecular structure of the early
universe fell out the way that it did. We cannot prove, but can construct a
logical sequence of events, for the organization of possible primordial
fermenters that fed upon the primordial abiological soup that could have
logically existed during the cooling of the Earth. These ideas are
supported by the experiments of Miller and Urey in which severe ambient
conditions applied to the primordial soup were used to produce amino acids
and such. I still think that I have read somewhere that amino acids have
been found on extraterrestrial material coming in from space. I could be
wrong. My memory is going and I wake up in a new world every morning. It is
fun.
With the good bit of time that was provided by the abiological fermenters
working on the soup, and before they finished their meal, we can mentally
organize a photosynthetic molecule (chlorophyll) that could use sunlight
and the ambient CO2 and water to produce O2. This process resulted in the
development of the autotrophs which eventually resulted in a mix of oxygen
in the atmosphere that allowed for the development of the heterotrophs.
With this occurrence, the biosphere was on it way to us. Once a biosphere
was established that was compatible with both autotrophs and heterotrophs
then Quality had a tremendously expanded field of operations in which to
operate.
Up to this point no intellect was operating in the biosphere.
Non-sentient Quality was the sole arbiter of events.
(I we ask Donny, these conditions obtained until the Greeks amassed
enough slaves so that they could sit around on their duffs and think pure,
uncontaminated by exigency, thoughts. Forgive me Donny, I couldn't resist
that.)
More likely what happened was that a slow but steady accumulation of
intellectual capacity occurred until we reached the stage where we could be
dangerous to the natural processes of the biosphere.
Enter Pirsig and the Metaphysics of Quality. (Notice that I differentiate
between the original Quality and the Metaphysics of Quality).
The MoQ represents the stage at which intellect (not the intellectual
level in the MoQ) acquired the capability to be a significant factor in the
operation of Quality.
Intellect imposes the responsibility on humanity to conduct affairs such
that they are compatible with the operation of the original Quality that
has been responsible for bringing us this far. This is why I differentiate
between Quality and the MoQ.
Troy, all of this is by way of saying that I agree with you that
Quality(and hopefully Dynamic Quality) is progressive change that
represents Morality in terms of the biosphere and the universe. Ken.
