Dear Nick,
As a newcomer to this list, I'm at a loss to comprehend all of the
abbreviations used by the "old timers." Heck, I don't even know what moq
means. Matter of quality, perhaps? So I'm lost when I come across
abbreviations like SOM, I'm hopelessly lost. Would you be so kind as to
educate this newcomer?
Call me simple-minded (a zen compliment), but when I see Zen in the
title, I expect Zen in the book. As it were, I was reading a book of Zen
quotes before I dialed up my e-mail. Yes, Pirsig is represented in it.
Stuff about climbing a mountain. However, there are some quotes Phaedrus
would have been wise to heed:
"We should take care not to make the intellect our God; it has, of
course, powerful muscles, but no personality."-Albert Einstein
"Pure logic is the ruin of the spirit."-Saint-Exupery
"A mind all logic is like a knife all blade. It makes the hand bleed that
uses it."-Rabindranath Tagore
                                Cheers,
                                   Jeff
