Jon - be careful in speaking for all of humanity - ("You can pretend
you don't care about money in today's world, but deep down, you do.
It's engrained in you and shapes your life." and "It's like a
necessary evil we've come to blindly accept." and "We

but to what extent? Money does not shape my life to the degree that it does
others that I know. And I don't "blindly accept" it. And my focus tends to
be on the person, not their outwardly worldly trappings or wealth.

So, while the statements you make may be true for som, I don't
believe they are true for all. That's all I'm trying to say.
