Struan - I didn't misunderstand the points made, I disagreed with
them. I did not say that we as a culture do not have a "legal"
definition of what it means to be sane/insane or that the "concept" of
sanity doesn't exist. (and I'm not saying you said I did) I take it
a step back - that there *ultimately* is no such thing as
sanity/insanity. We pretend there is because it helps us to make
sense of the world or to "pigeonhole" people, but does "sanity" (other
than a concept) really exist?

I'm not going to offer a different definition of sanity/insanity
because to do so would be to give substance to the concept.
