If the Americans attend to this result in the only democratic way then
they get to hold a beacon to the world. Small hope at present but it
is a choice that remains.
The only thing that they can do to redeem the situation is the
unthinkable. Another election. Someone is gonna need brass ones for
democracy to win.... but let's not sour the possibilities with unjust
imaginings.
