To Rog and MOQers,

I strongly agree with your comment to Squonk (although it did seem harsh -
people are understandably, getting a little too emotional.

I think it is absurd to blame a prosperous country or people on ones own
lack of prosperity. It is far more advisable to look in ones own backyard
and of ones own country's shortcomings.
This attitude reminds me of how the Jews have been hounded for millennia,
mostly because they are a strong, intelligent, unified and successful
people. They excel in all they undertake and are survivors who seem to win
and achieve above and beyond regardless of being victims to countless
pogroms, genocides and anti-Semitism all around the world and throughout
history.

There is NO excuse for the attacks and even less excuse for educated people
to imply that it was some how deserved.
America, with all it's commercialism, materialism, self promotion etc. is
still one of the greatest countries on earth (I say this as a Russian whose
parents remember being taught the 'evils' of America during the cold war
just as the Americans were spinning the same propaganda to its citizens
about Russia). It is the originator of human rights and freedom. It has
helped other nations in need, many a time and if there has to be a
"superpower" on this planet, I would not hesitate to pick her with all her
faults.

Finally, revolutions have rarely made change toward Quality, those seeking
"equality", were usually those who just wanted to cut everyone down to their
own size - a *regression* of Quality.

God bless,

Victoria
