Thanks for clarifying your position. Then we agree that there is no
justification for terrorism under any circumstances. Is that not so?

It is my impression that there is no group within Saudi Arabia of
reasonable size or strength that wants to overthrow the kingdom other
than the Taliban. Do you know of a group of freedom fighters the U.S.
should support?

Your point is well taken. No doubt under the banner of Christianity
horrible acts have been done. Fortunately, the numbers of Americans
involved with the Aryan Nation and the KKK are few and far between.
Unfortunately, the number of Muslims sympathetic to Bin Laden and
his merry men is comparatively astounding. On the Internet this
morning from the Sunday-Times comes a survey of the Muslim
community in Britain that " . . . shows 40 percent believe Bin Landen
has cause to wage war against America and a similar proportion say
Britons who choose to go to fight alongside the Taliban are right to do
so. Of British Muslims " . . . only 11 percent believe there was some
justification for the attacks on the World Trade Center and the
Pentagon." You can find the report on the survey at:

times.co.uk/news/pages/sti/2001/11/04/stiusausa01025.html

I know you are not among those who think there was some justification
for the attacks. My point is simply that there are a relatively large group
of Muslims in Britain and the U.S. who apparently do not agree with you
and who may ( I emphasize "may") pose a threat to freedom and
democracy.
