Why?
Because any of these political values can be good given a particular
turn of events. If your bias is so far on the fringes of any quadrant it
highly probable that you will be unable or unwilling to consider
possible good of the other quadrants.
It is interesting that the really strong political leaders noted are for
the most part on the fringes.
Why is that?
My guess is that they are a reaction to prevailing strong force from the
opposite quadrant. Take Ghandi for instance. If we were to plot they
prevailing values of the British government in place at the time it
would fall somewhere near Thatcher. (Authoritarian-Right) Ghandi
(Libertarian-Left) pulls one way, the British colonial government the
other the good solution is probably somewhere in between.
