oops. My post apparently sent itself just as I was coming to the big
finish...

This clap-trap all started with the question: how do we fix the 4th level,
how do we replace the SOM views that have paralyzed 20th century
intellectuals? What is the essence of 4th level, exactly? Is it really all
about rights or is it just the ability to think about such things. Those are
some of the questions on the table, no? I hoped to cure John B's skepticism
and Bo's SOLAQI along the way too. But all I could manage was a sketch. Its
just too vast. Consequently, you'll have to connect alot of the dots
yourself. But let me say a few things about the big picture.

Its all about the brujo. Its all about dynamic contrarians. The MoQ is an
evolutionary system and these contrarians are the agents of change, they are
where the rubber meets the road. Its personal. Its political. Its spiritual.
Its for real. This is the part that cures the isolated ego of SOM. According
to the MOQ you're out in the world effecting things whether you know it or
not. Everybody is a soldier in this battle. Its more outdoorsy than tea
party, but at least the terrible secret loneliness is gone.

These dynamic contrarians have always been with us and they've done a nice
job improving society. They're like genetic mutations at the social level.
But I think there's even more to it. Rights, it seems, are aimed precisely
at protecting contrarians. Rights protect the evolutionary process itself.
Rights open the doors to DQ. Its logical and rational and reasonable to
think that we ought not stand in the way of evolution, but beyond all that
it just seems right, doesn't it? It's moral in less expressable ways too.
Words like dignity, compassion and justice are intimately related to Rights.
Its a kind of spiritual truth, the fifth moral code loves contrarians.

I hope I've given Bo some good reasons to suspect that SOM and the MOQ are
both culturally derived metaphysical systems, but that they're derived from
two distinct religious currents. I think this explains alot about the
differences between them, but it also shows pretty clearly that they're both
at the intellectual level and that they share the same parents. If the MOQ
looks likes something completely different, its because of the mystical
component.
