I don't think there's a objective time-detector. But about the reality
of time:
I just Hodgson about time and tense. According to the special theory of
relativity, time is a complex number valued dimension. Hodgson thus
concludes that because 'imaginary' numbers (which involve square root of
-1) are involved, time has no ontological status, only exists in the
theory.
