The historical Jesus left no writings of his own. Neither did Socrates.
Plotinus had to be persuaded to write by students and he did it without
reviewing or editing his material. (The arrangement we have today in the
Enneads is Porphyry's.)
Lao Tsu was asked by a gate keeper to write before he left through them.
The best things cannot be written down or spoken about, for this kills them.
I feel the quality in Christianity is expressed in Jesus' unconditional care.
