Thanks for the encouragement. Actually I found your remarks amusing; it
was Dr. Who's comments I found to be condescending.
Today has been a very enlightening experience for me on this message
board. I have never been much interested in philosophy before -- too
"theoretical". Rather I enjoy an eclectic mix of computers (I'm a
programmer by trade), history, language and mathematics -- things that are
easier for me to experience.
I phoned my wife about what I wrote about the role of experience, and she
advised me not to put Descartes before the horse ;)
