Jonathan,

Thanks for the correction. My understanding is limited to the NT account
which, it would seem, greatly distorts the Pharicee position. Thanks
again.

I'm curious, however, why the NT makes so much emphasis that it is the
Pharicees that vehemently opposed Jesus and demanded his execution? Can
we assume this is accurate or is it also a distortion? I have an
acquaintance of serious radical leanings who always maintained it was a
Catholic plot to villify Jews, but his ideas are often...shall I
say...colorful?

If Jesus was, as you say, a member of this Rabbinical movement, would
that mean that the idea that Jesus fulfilled and ended the need for
Mosaic Tradition completely a fabrication of the Apostles (Paul in
particular)?

I've always felt that Apostolic Christianity was a total invention
beyond anything in Jesus' ideas, but your idea of putting Jesus in the
Rabbinical movement makes the Apostolic Church even MORE of a
philosophical hijacking. Very interesting.

I'm hoping you'll elaborate more?

With hope,
Kevin
