Walter-
Don't feel too bad. I am an American and still don't understand this
cryptic comment. Unless of course it's refering to our president inability
to run the country due to the investigation of his extramartial affairs.
This could be seen as Intellect interfering with Society if you accept that
the investigation is being run on Intellectual grounds (i.e.-Moral
principals). However, I think it's the opposite. Society uses the
institution of marriage to help preserve itself and to further biology. To
put this social code(marriage) over an individual's freedom (inellectual)
seems immoral.... uh oh. Now it sounds like endorsing adultery. One might
consider that it was immoral for Bill to put a biological need (sex) over a
social code (marriage)... I guess the way you see the conflict depends on
whether you want his actions and those of his investigators to be justified
or not. Hmmmm.
I have no idea if this is what Drose was refering to. Just a guess.
