Hi Struan,

The materialist way of thinking is in no way threatened or disputed
by the MOQ. It is, however, seen as a less comprehensive world view -
 which is perhaps why you are encountering so much resistance here.
Materialism is fine as far as it goes, and is no doubt directly
responsible for the gains in science and technology that we have
made. It is very valuable, but it leaves no provision for
understanding non-corporeal reality. It is on a tightrope without a
net. I would agree that all scientists today are materialists in one
way or another, but would also submit that there are areas off-limits
to current science, and that is where the MOQ comes in. From the
quotations you have provided, it looks like science is beginning to
recognize its limitations and is searching for a new model. The MOQ
could help them there.
