Struan, I will assume this was for me:

Greetings,
Is calling others immature a form of personal abuse or is it merely being
immature? :-)
Struan

Glove:
I suppose I am asking too much that what I say be taken a little more
seriously than a four-word response asking me if it is a joke. That is
indeed very immature of me, I admit. Like I said, you seem to have some very
good ideas but I don't happen to agree with them, and I was simply telling
you why and not trying to qualify myself as having any formal training or
education in the field.

You sent an email to the discussion group criticizing Pirsigs SODV paper and
personally I couldnt let it slide without some kind of rebuttal, since
Pirsig himself doesnt belong to the group and no one else seemed to answer
as I would. I happened to like his paper very much, so I spent not a little
time thinking on the response and writing it up and thinking on it some
more, which I assume many of us do here. If you have some disagreements with
me on what I said, tell me. Like I said, I really don't know what I am
talking about. But at least I am willing to attempt to talk about it anyway.
But I don't like to be blown off like that. Would you?

And if you don't have anything to say, then that will speak for itself too.
But in the future, address me if you want to say something. Otherwise you
look like you're hiding. You're not hiding are you? Come on and show me that
I am wrong. Challenge me. I bet you could if you tried.
