your "reason" (imho) is a product of you - not you. just as if i
write a book or paint a painting - these are products of me, not me.
and definitely not all of me.

Hi David

I tend to disagree with you here though I cannot really say exactly why. We
might call certain paintings "a Picasso" or "a Van Gogh". Why? In subtle and
sometimes not so subtle ways, everything we do is us and whether we are
aware of it or not, these products are all of us in very deep and meaningful
ways if we open awareness to this.

David:

try reading zen and the art of archery....the author (Eugene
Herrigal) does a nice job of illustrating the downfall of taking our
creations/actions/products and basing our opinion of ourselves on
them.

Dan:

Wonderful book! To become proficient in archery, Herrigel had to become
archery. I am not talking about opinions OF our self when I object to being
called stupid. I am talking our self.

David:

when someone attacks your creation, they are not attacking you. you
are free however, to take it that way, but i've found it often gets in
the way of learning and growing.

Dan:

In my oh so humble opinion, I disagree. I can see no reason for attacks on
another's creations. No reason for calling another person's ideas stupid
under any circumstance. But that's just me.

David:

just my two cents

Dan:

and mine...

Shalom

Dan
