I expressed myself badly Platt, sorry. The specific accusation referred to is one that I have seen
on this forum many times and it is wrong. As an addition, your critique seems misplaced because I
find no evidence in John's essay that he eliminates all but the biological as empirical reality (his
reference to the stove seemed to be merely one example). Allowing other forms of data into empirical
reality does not necessarily lead one to believe that, "Quality is the primary empirical reality of
world." You may find that to be your experience, many others would say it isn't theirs and so John's
point still pertains. (John will, I'm sure, correct me if I misrepresent him - this is just my
reading).
