DMB, SAM, ALL Water-brothers,
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my
question(s).
DMB:> A good conversation is one where everyone takes my opinions as God's
own
> truth. Just kidding.
TY David! Not only did i smile but i heard myself laff out-loud. Humor is
"good" at times.
i do want to ask you about this:
>I think a good
> conversation is one where two or more passionate people disagreee.
"disagree"? i hope you don't take this as nit picking but it's best to ask i
do believe: Can conversation be "good" when two or more people are agreeing
on something?
Sam, so you basically agree with David about "good conversation" except for
the word "passionate" which is not part of your "temperament"?
Can human beings have "conversations" with themselves?
i'm also wondering if 4th level ( awareness? consciousness? ability?
capability? ) would allow one to participate in a "good conversation" about
virtually anything if one is interested and inclined to do so without being
pre"informed" of the topic (subject).
i would also agree that:
"I'd consider my conversations with Sam to be
> pretty damn good."
Perhaps i'm looking for more "grokking" here at times so the information can
be applied to more practical matters if you will. ( How does MoQ work in our
everyday matters such as electing a president (anyone: partner, friends etc)
without a machine to identify one with quality )
DMB: " Naturally, I disagree with some folks to such an extent
> that talking with them it isn't much fun, never bares any fruit and only
> leads to contempt. Without naming any names, there are posters here who
are
> irrational to the point that I can't respect their views.
Mari: i hear you loud and clear there!
DMB: "On the question
> SOM, I think the MOQ includes it. That is to say, the MOQ allows for
> subjects and objects, for subjectivity and objectivity, but says they are
> not the foundation of things.
Mari: That works for me. Not sure that other MoQers agree with that though.
Without naming names of course. ; )
As far as the statement:
"intellectually she's nowhere"
Was this a perpetual state of being or something like temporary insanity;
something she drifts in and out of? Which again makes me want to ask: Once
you reach 4th level is that where we always and all ways come from?
Sam says:
Oh yes, one other thing: there aren't that many '4th level wise' around in
the world, let alone on this forum! But as you'll discover, I don't think
'truth' works as a fourth level filter - for on my understanding truth is
not the same as wisdom. Hey ho.
Mari: ; ) Truth and Wisdom not necessarily the same thing. That is both
truth and wisdom.
And since you and others here know what grok means why not use it as need
be? It is IMHO an excellant addition to language.
Huxley wrote that "knowledge is public and understanding is private"
Grokking moves things ( conversation, intercourse ) to a whole new level. It
tweaks if you will language beyond understanding; evolves it, makes it
intimate or as i like to say in my own punny way engages self and other(s)
in "In to me see" Like Jill watching herself strip through the eyes of a
viewer. She grokked why men like to watch; judgement gone, value changed;
next.....
