    Platt, two things ...

    (1) I don't hold that Pirsig spoke only truth.
    He's a human too.

    (2) I very carefully did not "abandon logic".
It has its place. What I said was
"stop applying only simple, (classical, scientific) logic
    to complex, multi-level, human-scale issues"

Consistency and agreement with experience ?
OK, but I'd use better tests than simple logic (in such cases).

    Exonomy of explanation ?
I say beware cutting your own throat with Occam's Razor.
Nice if things had simple answers,
but that's what I call wishful thinking.

You may not agree with me(yet),
but confirm I'm being consistent, please.

    Ian
