I recently was told that the native-american people had three
commandments. They were: 1.Don't lie, 2. Be courageous., and 3. Enjoy the
wonder!
I'd like to practice the first, if I may? I'm sorry for throwing that
article at the group with such despair. I cannot see the reasoning for
this static quality being retained. That there are a handful of people who
understood the true meaning, does not negate the state of understanding for
the majority? I'm sorry, but what I hear, see and read of Christianity,
Judaism and Islam points to hating the other. I'm talking here of cultural
attitudes. It's knowledge that is mostly lodged in the unconscious. I can
hardly believe my ears at what I hear in the name of religion on C-Span's
call-in sections. I'm talking all three. It's not very pretty. Of course
there are exceptions, but the percentage is low.
Why not let the beauty in science introduce a new perspective? Maybe we
will all raise to the occasion.
I think I like those three commandments. Although, I think I might add the
Golden Rule.
