    The word 'lawyers' threw me for a loop.

    Still, thinking about this, it is not the lawyers, lawmakers, or religion that supervises the conduct of society; it is society itself. The word 'infancy' got me to thinking some. In the nation's infancy, it needed a set of laws to see that the nation would not perish, but after the nation has developed, society takes care of itself, and yes, it is the intellect of society that manages this. Society is a higher level of evolution than man, and it would seem man no longer controls society, but society controls man.

    My thinking that society requires a religion may very be wrong.
