Thanks for the reference to the article. I not only agree with the
conclusion, but find the following sentence pretty much reflects my
personal philosophy:

"My kind of atheism . . . values religion; treats science simply as a
means to an end; and finds the meaning of life in art."

I would substitute "beauty" for "art"-- a minor bit of fine tuning.
