    Hi Sam,

    Thanks for the extended quotations from Hernado de Soto explaining the
    reasons for capitalism's high quality. His lake analogy is masterful, and
    your summary is the best capsule definition of capitalism I've seen:

    "In other words, capitalism is that application of human ingenuity which
    releases the potential that would otherwise be locked up, and which
    generates new fixed forms of energy which can be used in other ways."

    Also, there's no doubt, as you so aptly make the case, that capitalism is
    an intellectual level phenomenon.

    Looking forward to your post in this thread on the notion of the fully-
    realized human being (FRH) who, in case no one has noticed, Mark likes to
    fancy himself as being.
