Allen, could you elaborate on exactly what you mean by harmony?
The dictionary says 'a pleasing arrangement of parts'. What is usually taken as an attribute of spirituality is the interconnection or interdependence of all parts. An ecosystem, the human body, a city, or a society could be seen as a harmonious arrangement of parts. My own take is several different things (parts, chords, whatever) working together in a mutually beneficial way. You would want to relate this to beauty I'm sure. But beauty, seems to me, is our 'romantic' impression of what we perceive as harmonious underlying form. Understanding that underlying form is the job of the intellect, so separating individual objects from their relationships to the whole in which they find themselves (the essence of SOM is this separateness IMO) will inhibit the very understanding the intellect seeks.
Live well,
Steve
