ANT: Hence, the title of my post (Why Platt, Sam, Matt K, Scott and Erin must
go…) To finish the title it should be… “and look into taking up mediation,
sociology and/or using psychedelics at some point.” It would certainly save
a lot of writing time on this discussion forum.
Hello Anthony,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about why an Moq academic would be interested in hypnosis. There is also another comment Pirsig makes about hypnosis...something to do with teaching... Glad your interest isn't just looking for teachng tips!
I wasn't going to respond to this big karma dump post of yours because I agree with Pirsig's suggestion of how to handle karma dumps. I just wanted to clarify once again a line drawn in the moq is made on wrong assumptions about me and my relatives and my past experiences of meditation, sociology, and psychadelics. I am glad there was social bonding at this conference but this need to form cliques is getting old. Go ahead and get little jackets or something but give up on "drawing a line" in the moq based on wrong assumptions about people.
I find it especially odd that you suggest Scott to meditate......I thought that was his suggestion and attacked as too passive in the sitting on the sidelines thread. I also find it odd that you tell Matt to look into sociology...... he is the last person I would suggest that. His bringing in ideas of Rorty and culture are just that to me and you dismiss them as post-modern nonsense.

ANT. I hope no one thought that I was going to suggest that these long
standing contributors should be banned? ;-)
ERIN: NO not at all I know that would be way too direct for you...i just assumed it was another passive aggressive low quality jab
