Rick and all MOQers:
PIRSIG (ZMMp16)
The Buddha, the Godhead, resides quite as comfortably in the circuits of a
digital computer or the gears of a cycle transmission as he does at the top
of a mountain or in the petals of a flower. To think otherwise is to demean
the Buddha -which is to demean oneself.
RICK
If ZMM had to be reduced to just one thought, this quote would probably be
it and I'm not sure that Pirsig ever said anything more profound. I can
remember how happy these words made me the first time I ever read them.
dmb says:
Yea. I think its a good summary of the main point. We see the same idea
reflected in the very title of the book and in that little picture of a
flower/wrench on the cover. I love the quote too. Thanks for digging it up.
