    I agree with Platt in thinking that you are referring to me and I would openly acknowledge that I'm in the minority. Most people here, I think, are like you, Platt, DMB, Bo, and Squonk and think that we can reach an agreeable meaning of the MoQ. And I agree insofar as I think that it is possible (and desirable) to reach some consensus on what Robert M. Pirsig thought given his published material.

    Biography is just not my only goal, that's all.

    And even if we aren't doing biography, I still think its possible and desirable to reach an agreeable meaning of the MoQ, as in people agreeing on what the best interpretation of the MoQ is. I would love for people to be convinced by my interpretation.

    However, I think modeling the MoQ (and vicariously philosophy) on science is bad news bears.

    You know what I love best? The fact that I agree with Platt and Squonk here. If anybody is discouraged by my philosophy, then you've picked me up by the wrong handle. If you read my last message on "the most liberal line in the sand I could draw" as a recommendation that we start talking about cows and chickens without any reference to Pirsig, then you missed the point. What I try and do is encourage people to do what they would like to do with Pirsig. You know, individualism and all that.

    I too would be disappointed if you left Paul. I mean that.
