MF lurking

As a long time lurker, now I quess it's time to introduce myself. My
name is Marc B. I'm into the MOQ for a couple of years now, mostly as a
passive bystander, just watching the mails passing by. That's why I turn
to the MOQ focus, cause MOD is getting too chaotic in my opinion.
Maybe, I don't know if there's already a topic for February, I could
contribute by sharing some remarks I made on Pirsigs MOQ, concerned with
Conscioussnes (and personality)

hey all, i guess its about time for me to chime in. I'm a newbie being
overloaded with the back and forth and re-discussing past disussions
about
how to discuss what should be discussed and i'd almost be disgusted if
we
(you) werent trying to save a 'drowning' ship.

i'm no hypnotist, but here's my suggestion:

1) It seems that people want to change the format of the list because
they're not getting enough of the content that they want: to me that
seems a
bit off the mark. A bad conversation isn't corrected by getting a better

phone. Just find something interesting to talk about. And who says we
have
to talk all the time? That seems a bit obsessive to me. Perhaps the MF
can
be nudged by cutting out the one-per-month topic requirement, while we
keep
the one-per day limit and a moderator.

part 2) everyone kept saying 'dying' or 'drowning' (me) or saggin list
and
so forth. Has anyone ever heard of comfortable silence? Part of Zen
(Ch'an/Dhyana) practice entails just sitting! why would you get your
feathers in a ruffle about silence? perhaps a bit of peace even?

be that as it may, i used to navigate some BBS's in my day. i kinda miss

them. if you resurrect them, i'd join but i can't help build it.

Signed: B-Y ("Be why" a question and an answer)

PS: i have a couple topic ideas, if you simply asked the question:
anyone
got some topics they'd want to discuss, we probably wouldn't be
re-inventing
the wheel
