My position is this:

I think anyone, including me, should be allowed to copy, edit and publish anyone else’s work under any name without asking them, informing them or thanking them. UNLESS that work happens to have been originated by ME in which case everyone must treat the writing as sacred and nobody is allowed to touch it even if I post it in a forum SPECIFICALLY INTENDED for group editing.
