Pirsig categorized values according to the order of their historical development.
For example, 'procreation' got into biological set. Therefore if those pesky robots
decide to 'procreate', no matter by what means, we can still say they are attracted
to a biological value.
I think, boundaries between sets of static values are not crisp. We *are* 'suspended
in language' and in Western culture, that's why Pirsig had to use a 'classical' diagram
to convey zen perception of reality. I believe, we should use fuzzy logic to define
sets of values. This way our cats will be classified to harbor intellectual values
to some degree, but not, of course, to a degree members of 'Lila squad' do. This
allows us to agree with both Magnus (having a cat of my own) and Bodvar (it's nice
to be a demigod).
