Platt, Magnus, Dave, Hugo, Ken and Squad.
Thanks for your suggestions to the first movement of my unfinished
symphony. As things stands Magnus' offering ranges highest. REACTION
it is the term that best catches the "mind of matter". However it
sparked off another version with me - INTERACTION! (what do
you say Magnus?) If something can be called the moral of the material
world, it is the tendency to react/interact through the four forces:
Electromagnetism, the Weak and the Strong nuclear force and
Gravitation. So until further notice it looks like this:
INTERACTION - SENSATION - EMOTION - REASON.
Platt's LIGHT is good, but it sounds a bit matter-like in itself.
Also, I am loth to give up EMOTION as representing society.
Even if I see the point of your argument..a philosopher being
emotionally attached to rational thinking... it is basically sound
and moreover: for the first time in the history of philosophy do
emotions find a place. I think this is a breakthrough! MOQ has
demonstrated its supremacy again!
Dave! Did Kant really produce something like the levels of mind that
you quote? (So much for my Kant knowledge) Well, the difference is
that he had the big SOM mind - in mind - with a series of levels
within; this our MOQ "representation" (Hugo's expression) is a less
fundamental thing, but merely the other side of each value "coin".
Ken! Your latest suggestion - ORIGIN or simply GIN - sounds too
spiritual and "dry", but bottled and labelled who knows. :-)
