I've taken your words, "There is no proof of the system itself, no proof
for the axioms and no proof for the logic and we might agree that making a
proof is a special form of valuation," retyped them, blown them up and
pasted them to the wall above my computer. I need to be constantly reminded
that it's always possible that whatever I believe could be wrong, indeed,
that the MoQ itself could be no more significant than a passing breeze.
Whenever I think I have all the answers (which I'm loath to admit happens
frequently), I hope to have the presence of mind to reread your words.

Yes "Proof" should be scratched as a description of the principle and
"Logical Evidence" substituted. Then it becomes obvious that it's not a
principle but a gratuitous comment, as Diana suspected all along.
