Some "web based" thoughts on this subject of the Static/Dynamic Quality
split:
One of the best descriptions I came across of the World Wide Web was in
a
printed book, of all places.
The author felt that the best way to think of the entity that is the Web
is
to consider it as not a billion separate page views and growing but
rather
as ONE single page, infinitely expandable.
So, here we have a Static entity, a page, imbued with Dynamic Quality.
Under a subject/object view this is paradoxical but seen in terms of the
MOQ
it is clear.
The World Wide Web is neither an object or a subject but rather an event
that involves all participants.
Without its Static component there would be nothing to contribute to the
ongoing Dynamic of the Web.
In my minds eye, the web, as it has it has evolved, is a perfect
iteration
of the complementariness of Static and Dynamic Quality.
Hope this adds to the discussion at hand.
Best regards,
Nick
