Hi Diana, Mark, Dave and everyone

Thank you for your suggestions. The LC uploaded to my website is a very
rough draft and personally I am amazed that anyone finds value in it. I am
actually embarrassed by most of it so I can see Diana's point very well.

I am not a professional writer. I have never attempted anything like this
before. If LC is garbage then it is garbage. I have never seen a book like
LC but I couldn't come up with another format that worked. Any suggestions
are still welcome.

Last year I had all but given up working on LC. From the feedback I was
getting it seemed best to forget the whole deal. Put the Child to bed, so to
speak. Then Bodvar wrote to tell me he had received a letter from Robert
Pirsig about the LC project and how impressed he was with it. Hmmm, I
thought. Maybe there is something there after all. So, over the winter and
through the spring I reworked LC until I feel it is better...good enough
that I am not embarrassed by it any longer anyhow. It still needs work but
it's getting there.

I want everyone to know that LC is not about me. It is about the group. It
was never meant as a third book. It is merely a child compared to Pirsig's
work. I think everyone can see that. It is not meant to be a text book.
There are no conclusions reached, no questions answered. It is what it is.

I have no illusions. No publisher will touch the book so I would have to
self publish it and pray I can sell enough copies to cover the nut. Any fear
that LC will be seen by millions of people is completely unfounded. If I
sold a hundred copies I would be happy. It is little more than intellectual
curiosity.

Dan
