Hi Rick,
You may find that it is Bo who says this and not Pirsig?
Pirsig searches for the birth of rationality and places it around this time.
Fair enough.
Along comes Bo and changes birth of rationality to birth of Intellect. Not
the same thing.
This is the damaging influence Bo has generated over the years. Rather than
explore Pirsig we find ourselves exploring Bo and his daft nonsense.
Bo must be seen for the problem he is and dealt with. The best way to do this
is to READ Pirsig and ignore the insistent carpings of a man who desperately
wishes for immortality.
