Hi Mark
POE tough alright
maybe central question of human life
possible 'answer' provided by christian tradition: there is no easy answer
but the god above broke himself open down below, shares in most intimate way
in pain/suffering.
I must read Brothers Karamazov sometime
As you were

Subject: Re: MD MOQ and The Problem Of Evil
Hi Johnny,
It's not death that is the problem. It's suffering. A benevolent,
omnipotent, omniscient god could keep the laws of gravity in place, let the
rock fall and the child die swiftly and painlessly. The POE occurs when the
rock falls and crushes the child's legs and spine, so that she lies there in
agony for hours till comes the wolf to finish her off.
Trust me. It's the knock-out punch.
Best,
Mark Steven Heyman (msh)
