This is a good reason that we should NOT stay solely with Lila or zmm
quotes...Pirsig had definite problems with some issues...and reading almost
any review of Lila will show that he had a particular difficulty 'explaining'
the MOQ to practically anyone. The most important issues are not in the
books, its always our interpretation of it in 'real' life.
I still believe that using a quote is a good idea, but not the only
one...maybe making us too static to use this idea as a RULE (or LAW) (if we
use PROGRAM as caps I guess this would be one too). Let's use this idea, but
sparingly.
I know that many people believe that the purpose of the Lila squad is not as
'mouthpieces' or 'disciples' or 'prophets' for the MOQ. That is fine. But
there are many who believe that we need to put out the word and try to
influence our world in a Quality manner. I've also tried to think of ways to
discuss the MOQ with others and have a logical and uncomplicated process of
the unfolding and complicated concept.

Ps.
Mary...I've tried starting with value as the main idea and tried the four
levels (way to complicated and academic). I believe that you can say value is
everything but need to keep everything on the social level with some allusion
to the biological and intellectual level to keep conversation smooth (i.e. not
talk the ears off of people) and the analogies relevant. Any other ideas?
