Hi Platt,
In ZMM, 'What you like' is pre-intellectual quality perception.
Subjects and Objects emerge from pre-intellectual reality.
Therefore, 'What you like' cannot be dismissed as, 'just' subjective.
Pirsig illustrates this innocuous truism to embody something we all know but
are constantly told is unreal: Quality.
Suggesting this has no metaphysical ramifications is ridiculous.
