Although, I might agree with you on the mythic psychological need part, I would
never propose going around and legislating what should or should not be taught
in houses of worship. I will always lobby for science to be taught in the
public schools and for the removal of any religious doctrine from the public
school currriculum. This includes the One Nation Under God line from the Pledge
of Allegiance. But I see no need to dictate what is acceptable as religious
doctrines or beliefs. How would you propose that the mythic psychological needs
be eliminated from our psyche? And is this even a high quality objective? Is
there no quality or value in mythic psychological needs in your opinion?
