Anything put into a definition is done so to become a part of a
tautology, so I believe my escape clause applies. In any case, in the
next yuga observed reality might not be well-described with phrases like
"static patterns of value".
On the other hand, I'm currently wondering if it might make more sense
to consider all static patterns as tautologies in the mind of God. And
so, when you say:

one could instead say that everything we think, do, or say, is
theoretical (with differences as to how much we are aware of the
underlying theory), thus doing without the theoretical/non-theoretical
distinction entirely, much as I wish to do away with the
language/reality distinction.
