Hi George,
The theory of evolution has extensive empirical support.
Is there empirical support for the 'holes' in the theory of evolution - that
is to say, is there empirical support for an alternative explanation for
evidence of evolution?
Please do not feel i wish to convey an antagonistic tone. That is not my
intention.
Also, i would suggest that your religious experiences were of high quality,
real, and not to be dismissed. What i would say is that such experiences are
unpatterned, and subsequent patterning is culturally filtered. In your case,
such filtering lead to your, 'Choice' of religious pattern.
I have a sneaking suspicion that support against evolution from such a
standpoint will have a heavy social bias therefore. I have no doubt your wife
is intelligent, but i fear her intellectual patterns have been dominated by
social ones.
All the best,
Squonk.
