hi, rob:

i would recommend reading Nietzsche. start with the Birth of Tragedy and go
on to Beyond Good and Evil. he is a trip!

the other book i would recommend deals with consciousness and its Julian
Jaynes, The Origins of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral
Mind....very very interesting!
