Hi Everyone,
This is my first reading of the list and I have already stayed up WAY
too late... Guess I'll need a double coffee tomorrow.
The knowledge on this list is a bit *gasp* intimidating. Other than
Pirisig, the only philosopher I have seriously thought about is
Krishnamurti. I am, however, amazed how well the two philosophies fit
together... (later discussion perhaps).
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a *couple* books to
get me on page. I've taken a couple of introductory philosophy courses
but nothing too exciting. I have to start somewhere! I am interested
in the mind/consciousness thing, quantum physics, meditation and am not
too much into history. A difficult read is OK if it is organized and
has some romantic appeal.
Time to get some sleep...
RJS
(P.S. Sorry if I was not on topic. Will try to be more sensitive
later...)
